Schematic Design for a conversion of a historic 5-story building from 1800s into a single family residence. Currently there are nine residential and one commercial units
Design process leaned towards preserving the existing structure and remaining existing communications, elevator and stair locations, which may change as we dive deeper into the survey of existing conditions and potentially learn that other layout possibilities may be cost effective as well.
Programmatic study defined the undertone of interiors, esthetically. The space function was defined as floor plan layouts to accommodate for a family living in Manhattan.
