A nine-story conversion project of a full architectural rehabilitation of an existing office building to a mixed-use residential units with retail and restaurant space at the ground level. Feasibility study was performed at the diagrammatic level to define proposed floor plan design layouts, number of residential units, and communications.
The challenge was to design residential units of various sizes and typology (studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and duplexes), where each unit would be allowed plenty of daylight due to limiting factors of existing structure and proximity of adjacent buildings.
