Project: Roof Replacement

The U.S. Embassy Sarajevo and Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) had a requirement for maintenance and repairs on the existing New Office Building (NOB) Chancery protected membrane roof and related roof components. Lenka was responsible for overseeing the Construction Administration phase of a flat roof full replacement. She was responsible to report to DOT/OBO directly in the form of a daily report, that included time lined photographs, summary of completed work percentage, and plan diagrams. The existing roof membrane was two-ply asphalt modified bitumen. 


This project involved existing conditions investigation such as tracking roof leakage from the roof into the spaces below including office spaces and boiler room. Coordination with building engineers, facility management, and general contractor was required to determine the cause of leakage. Design solutions were presented to OBO representatives for approval to proceed.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS 

Demonstrated experience with Quality Assurance Inspection (QAI) role. 

  • Demonstrated experience with Construction Administration services (CA) on large scale projects. 
  • Proven experience with reporting directly to the government agencies (DOS & OBO).
  • Experience working directly with building engineers and prime federal contractors on projects of complex logistics. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction specifications issued by the Department of State (DOS) and means and methods of tracking construction work and site conditions compliance to the same. 
  • Proven track of complying with strict timelines and ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Understanding the coordination of existing condition forensic work in relation to proposed systems and materials coordination. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA site regulations pertaining to safety on jobsite.
  • Adherence to strict Secret Clearance policies of sensitive government information; Secret Clearance training completion and Certification holder.
